Anyway im just gunna copypaste from tumblr because im too tired to type anything else

I thought I’d take this time to express some love for this amazing series.

I had began to watch Fullmetal Alchemist early March this year. I had always seen it around, and thought little to nothing of it. Suddenly, because of tumblr, I decided to give it a shot. And I’m glad I did. By episode 3 I was in love. I finished the series and Brotherhood later on.

To me, FMA has given me light not many other fandoms have. I have had different fandoms help me in different ways, and FMA has helped me to get through the trauma I’ve experienced. It’s helped me stay standing, and continue walking. It’s taught me that you can achieve what you want if you try hard enough, and while it may not pay off in the way you think it will, it will in some way.

I can relate to Edward on so many levels, and I can agree with him on a lot of issues. I know the pain of feeling betrayed by a father, and I have coped through unimaginable pain, a lot like him. The characters are not perfect, and neither is the series, but it is very high standards, and it just goes to show that everyone has flaws, even the seemingly perfect characters. Ed isn’t perfect, Al isn’t either. Nor is Roy, Riza, Winry, Hohenheim or Hughes. It’s what makes them human.

FMA has taught me that sometimes we make mistakes, and that we are nothing more than humans. That, however, doesn’t make us bad. It makes us normal. It has taught me to accept my mistakes and keep moving forward. It has taught me to watch out for others, and accept them for who they are. While I already did, it has taught me to be more accepting, and question more.

Not to mention, it has helped me escape the problems I have been facing.

So, on this day, I want to remember all that FMA has helped me with, and that I am not alone in this world.
